The wind is a clean, free, and readily available renewable energy source. Each day, around the world, wind turbines are capturing the wind’s power and converting it to electricity. Wind power generation plays an increasingly important role in the way we power our world – in a clean, sustainable manner.

But how is wind energy created? Wind turbines allow us to harness the power of the wind and turn it into energy. When the wind blows, the turbine's blades spin clockwise, capturing energy. This triggers the main shaft of the wind turbine, connected to a gearbox within the nacelle, to spin. The gearbox sends that wind energy to the generator, converting it to electricity. Electricity then travels to a transformer, where voltage levels are adjusted to match with the grid.

Wind Turbine Installation

WITH MOST WIND CONVERSION EFFICIENCY

Taking a wind project from fully consented to fully installed requires multi-discipline engineering expertise, along with a working knowledge of heavy cranes and wind turbine installation logistics. The wind installation phase starts with the design work by our expert wind consultants to produce the site layout. This includes topographical and geotechnical survey information, which is used to determine the turbine Centre, the wind turbine transformer, and the high-voltage sub-station (if required). Once the locations of the main items are fixed the on-site electrical distribution can be designed and the cable trenches and routes specified.

Preventative Maintenance

INSPECTION TO PREVENT EMERGENCY REPAIR

Preventive maintenance such as scheduled turbine overhaul or scheduled replacement for your gas turbine or steam turbine, provides proactive failure management policies available to the maintenance engineer. Common methods of determining include OEM recommendations and measured values and performance indications Preventive maintenance is conducted to keep gas turbines and steam turbines working and/or extend the life of the equipment. This preventative maintenance is quite cheaper than corrective maintenance.
